Testimonials
Because of Rocky Mountain Adaptive the brain injury survivors that we service are able to participate in 3 activities in the mountains every year! These individuals never thought they would be able to do these activities again after their injury, but no matter their limitations RMA ensures they experience an activity they want to the fullest! With RMA nothing is impossible!

We worked with Rocky Mountain Adaptive to do a float trip with my mom. I was so impressed with how everything was handled. The crew got my mother into the raft and the trip was seamless. Even though this trip was awhile ago, we still talk about how much fun it was.

I learnt how to sit ski and Rocky Mountain Adaptive took care of my every need. Everyone was very patient and focused on helping me get better.

Ella is 5 and in the last year has enjoyed many sports with RMA. We started with ice skating, and have now done skiing, swimming and horseback riding. Our family enjoys the outdoors and sports. I knew it would be hard for Ella at this stage of her development to be in typical lessons or on a team, but wanted her to experience the fun and body movements of different sports. Rocky Mountain Adaptive has been incredible for Ella and our family. The instructors, staff and volunteers are all very supportive, knowledgeable and happy to see all of the participants. We will be able to use RMA for many years to come and they have so many different things to offer for Ella, and also our family. Thanks to your great team!

Kim has worked with us driving the bucket for Elise our daughter. She is super friendly and fun and can ski all the fun tree runs and bumps Elise our daredevil loves to ride on her sit ski! We love this program. Thank you for making our ski lifestyle dream come true!

I would highly recommend RMA. Our son Alby is in a wheelchair, we weren’t sure how he’d take to skiing. After contacting RMA, we were completely reassured that Alby would be catered for on the slopes, and that he was! The instructors were amazing & Alby loved every second. We now want to plan a yearly ski trip!!

It is difficult to find welcoming programs that adapt to each individuals’ needs and abilities. RMA sets the example, showing all how EVERYONE can be included. You have all types of adaptive equipment suited to a wide variety of needs. RMA is a very impressive organization that continues to strive for expanded and improved sports and recreational activities for all abilities, extending its reach into the community through liaisons with existing programs.

It was my first ever adventure to participate in water sports activities. My disability compromised my balance so I was afraid to try any sports activities, more so with water sports. It was a surprise when I finally did it and I was so delighted that I did it with RMA. You guys were so amazing! You were so patient with me and supported me throughout my first ever kayaking and canoeing activities at Quarry Lake. Thank you, RMA for an unforgettable experience.. I can’t wait to book another adventure with you!

From the moment that we arrived, the staff and volunteers of RMA stepped up and took care of all of Ellie’s needs, including all of the adaptive equipment. They supported our family so that we could all take part and enjoy the activities. They also allowed me to participate as much as I wanted to help Ellie with pulling her chair up and down the mountain and pulling her kayak along the lake. It allowed me to interact and share in special moments with each of my daughters. It filled my heart up to see the smile on both of my daughters’ faces as we climbed up the mountains and paddled in the lake. Getting Ellie to the tea house in the mountains was a moment I will never forget. I will always hold onto these memories that we had the opportunity to create together because of RMA.

I had a great time with Kim and the volunteers with Rocky Mountain adaptive sports. Thank you for recruiting them and coordinating everything to make it happen. The experience was a game changer. Not only did it prove to me that I could still participate in activities that bring me great joy, but I also got to meet some pretty cool people doing it. Kim is amazing. She’s highly skilled managing the trail rider; leading the volunteers; balancing the enthusiasm of observers who want to “help;“ and, remaining lighthearted through it all, even when things can get a bit stressful. I can’t say enough good things about Kim. She should become the chairman of the board, one day In the not so distant future.
